About Me
Hello, you found your way here! I’m Jessie (she/her). I’m a multi-passionate, collaborative artist (with a particular fondness for acting) from Providence, Rhode Island. I was born in Sydney, Australia and spent my early years climbing on rocks, eating sand, and refusing to learn how to swim. I moved to Providence when I was around 8 years old, and it’s been my home and my heart ever since.
I am delighted by and hungry for art that has at its core the question: why do I desperately need you and why do you desperately need me? I want to make theater for live connection in a breathing room. I love large ensemble pieces, I love heightened physicality, I love text that I can bite into with full teeth onstage.
I love Rhode Island theater! I have performed on several stages in Rhode Island including the Wilbury Theatre Group, Trinity Repertory Company, Burbage Theatre Company, the Contemporary Theater Company, and even at the Steel Yard in Providence. I am particularly passionate about stories that make a mess and spill their guts and ask more questions than they answer.
I am currently pursuing my MFA in Acting at Brown/Trinity where I am delighting in asking many questions and never knowing any answers.
